St Julian was an anchoress who lived much of her life in a cell in St Julian's Church. She is named after the church and her true name is not known. The Shrine, in St Julian's Church, is a place of pilgrimage for many.
This beautifully simple window shows St Julian in contemplation. The text comes from Julian's reported response from God which came to her in a revelation. God confirms the need for sin 'but all shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well'.
